Sharifinia, known for her portrayal of Kimia in the series directed by Javad Afshar, shared that the intense two-year filming process left her unable to act for another two years afterward.
“I had to regain myself,” she explained. “After the end of filming ‘Kimia’, I became like a lost person. I had to sit and study, watch movies, play musical instruments, and return to my personal life to rediscover who Mehraveh was before ‘Kimia’”.
She elaborated on how completely embodying the role of Kimia influenced every aspect of her daily life. “For two years, others decided what I wore, what I ate, and where I went because I was Kimia,” she said. “It took time for me to realize I was no longer Kimia. To help myself heal, I even closed my Instagram page to fully regain my identity.”
Born into a celebrated artistic family in Tehran in 1981, Mehraveh Sharifinia started her acting journey at the age of 8, appearing in productions like ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ and ‘The Puppet Thief’.
While her role in ‘Kimia’ cemented her fame, the actress also showed her talents in other acclaimed series such as ‘This Caravan of a Lifetime’, ‘Black River Stories’, and ‘A Ghost in the Dark’.
Despite the challenges, Sharifinia’s candid reflection highlights her dedication to her craft and her determination to find balance in her life. Fans admire her openness and are hopeful to see her shine in future projects.
